Spring has (almost) arrived…
As the temperatures begin to rise, pest numbers start to increase. They start to breed or wake up from a long winter sleep. Now that we are seeing the first signs of spring here in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, you may be wondering how to look after your home to avoid any influxes of unwanted visitors this year.
Flies, moths and ants are particularly common this time of year, and you might want to be proactive now, rather than reactive later.
Our advice
The best time to treat your home is in early spring. This way, you have the opportunity to destroy nests and colonies when pest numbers are low. The treatment has less work to do, making it more effective and longer lasting. Usually, one treatment is enough, and should keep pests at bay for the next year. Of course, one spray treatment doesn’t protect against ALL pests, but they do a great job at deterring typical springtime insects and moths for the next 12 months.
If you wait until you start seeing an abundance of pests, we will have more work to do in controlling the infestations. That said, it’s never too late to spray for pests!
